For the first time in a month, the BG football team is coming off an important non-conference win. On Saturday, they handled Wyoming on the road, 45-17. This week, the team is preparing for its first home game in almost a month. Eastern Michigan is coming to town this weekend for a Homecoming showdown at Doyt Perry Stadium.

Women's soccer earns weekend MAC split

The women's soccer team began its Mid-American Conference campaign over the weekend and ended with a tally in each column. Fortunately for BG, eight out of 12 teams in the conference also followed suit in splitting matches to begin MAC play, according to BG Coach Andy Richards.

Jaguars' Collier loses career, leg after shooting

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville Jaguars offensive tackle Richard Collier, shot earlier this month, is paralyzed below the waist and had his left leg amputated. Dr. Andy Kerwin, a surgeon for the University of Florida at Shands Jacksonville hospital, said Collier, who had 14 bullet wounds, is now in good condition after being previously listed in critical condition.
