Softball Brief
Weimer, Vallas set to play team USA

The Mid-American Conference announced last week that a team made up of All-MAC softball players will play the USA Softball team in an exhibition game June 23 at 7 p.m. at Brookside Park in Ashland, Ohio, as part of the KFC Bound 4 Beijing Tour.
The MAC team will have 17 of its first and second team All-MAC players.
BG will be represented by first team All-MAC and ESPN the Magazine Academic All-Americans, Hayley Wiemer and Allison Vallas.
The team will be led by University of Akron's head coach Julie Jones and her assistant coach Julie Pratt.

Pitching Staff: Hayley Wiemer (Bowling Green), Kylie Reynolds (Kent State), Gabrielle Burns (Kent State), Michelle Sauter (Ohio), Kyla Sullivan (Western Michigan)
Infield: Allison Vallas (Bowling Green), Amy Hudson (Central Michigan), Ashley Strauss (Eastern Michigan), Jessica Toocheck (Kent State), Sarah Billstrom (Miami), Meghan Mawn (Miami), Becky Bartosz (Western Michigan)
Outfield: Jenny Scherer (Eastern Michigan), Alicia Hogl (Miami), Brianna Robinson (Miami), Courtney Waters (Ohio), Erica Singer (Toledo)
